This course will raise awareness of the issues surrounding mental health such as: what is mental health and what causes mental health difficulties? The course will dispel some of the myths and misconceptions linked to mental health issues and will enable you to develop a knowledge of the rights of those with mental health issues and where appropriate support can be accessed.
The course is delivered over two linked sessions:
Session 1: Saturday 30th April - Sunday 1st May 2022
Session 2: Saturday 7th - Sunday8th May 2022
You must be able to attend both sessions
The course is assessed via the completion of a workbook which includes a variety of short and long answer questions.
No formal qualifications are required. However, we do recommend you access one of our Introduction or Exploring courses before you access this course, such as Exploring Mental Health Issues or Mental Health First Aid.
What could this course lead to?
This course would enable you to progress onto other Level 2 courses in this area.
