Course Description:

The Level 1 Award in Workers’ Rights and Labour Exploitation has been developed to raise awareness of the basic employment rights provided by UK law.

 

You will gain an understanding of the job application process and how to spot if an advertisement is genuine or not.  You will also gain the tools to enable you to understand whether or not you, or a colleague, are being exploited and the process for how this should be reported.

 

This qualification has been designed in conjunction with the Gangmasters and Labour Abuse Authority.

 

  

Entry requirements:

No formal qualifications are required.  However, we do recommend you access one of our Introduction or Exploring entry level courses before you access this course if you have been out of education for some time.

 

What could this course lead to?

You can progress onto:

Community Organising (Level 2).

 

Funding Support Statement:

You may be eligible to study for free if you are unemployed, on certain benefits, or earn £17,374.50 a year or less.  We can confirm when you apply or contact our Student Support Services team to learn more.
