The qualification aims to provide you with the suitable knowledge, guidance, support and understanding that everyone has the right to learn, to be safe and to be respected.
You will be able to make sure that a safe and secure learning environment is being provided that promotes their health and wellbeing.
It will also enable you and your peers to take responsibility for your own and others’ safety and be able to enjoy learning and progress in life.
How will this course be delivered?
There will be two onsite sessions of two day.
No formal qualifications are required. However, we do recommend you access one of our Introduction or Exploring entry level courses before you access this course if you have been out of education for some time.
What could this course lead to?
Award in Education and Training- AET (Level 3).
With further study possible courses include Post 16 Teacher, Post 16 Tutor, Post 16 Lecturer, Learning Mentor, Learning Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant.
Funding Support Statement:
You may be eligible to study for free if you are unemployed, on certain benefits, or earn £17,374.50 a year or less. We can confirm when you apply or contact our Student Support Services team to learn more.

Please note the fee displayed is for the tuition fee only. If you are staying overnight at the college and you are not eligible for residential funding, there will be an additional charge to cover bed, breakfast and evening meal.
