This course follows on from our Introduction to Teaching and Supporting Learning. It will introduce you to the theory of how adults learn and how this may be different to the way children do.
On this 2-day course we will explore the post-16 education sector and what the different types of education are within it, further looking into the purpose of education for adults. It begins to explore theories of learning and how these can be used to support adults in different environments creating inclusive learning.
If you are interested in working with adults in either a support or teaching capacity, this is the course for you. You will also be able to look at what your path to working in this sector could be and set out an action plan to progress.
No formal qualifications are required.

With further study possible courses include Post 16 Teacher, Post 16 Tutor, Post 16 Lecturer, Learning Mentor, Learning Support Assistant, Teaching Assisant.
Funding Support Statement:
You may be eligible to study for free if you are unemployed, on certain benefits, or earn £17,374.50 a year or less. We can confirm when you apply or contact our Student Support Services team to learn more.
