Do you need to develop your writing skills to produce effective texts for either study, work or everyday life?
This course will support you to learn how to write in a range of styles. You’ll also learn how to adapt your writing for different purposes and how to write creatively and accurately.
The course also covers informal and formal language, vocabulary and writing which will help you to develop your speaking skills and increase your confidence in discussions.
How will the course be delivered?
The course will be delivered on a residential basis, over two days and one night.The course will include a blend of classroom based activities and some individual study.
Northern College starts where you are, building on your life skills and experience. You don’t need a formal qualification to begin your studies with us.However, if this is your first course at Northern College, you will be contacted by our Student Services team to ensure the course is right for you.
What could this course lead to?
After this course, you might want to consider the Essential Skills: Reading for Purpose (Level 1) which is the same level.You could progress on to a Level 1 Functional English qualification.
