You will also discover how social media can support groups to spread their message, celebrations and news, creating a positive impact for your local and wider community. You will also learn how to communicate the aims, objectives and work of your group to meet your goals.
This course provides professional development for new and existing volunteers and anyone in related community sector employment, such as volunteer coordinators.
How will the course be delivered?
The course will be delivered on a residential basis, over two days and one night. The course will include a blend of class room based activities and some individual work alone.
Northern College starts where you are, building on your life skills and experience. You don’t need a formal qualification to begin your studies with us.
What could this course lead to?
To continue your journey, you may wish to study other community development courses. To improve your employability skills, you may also wish to look at the English, maths and digital skills qualifications. With further qualifications, you could progress into Youth Work, Community Development, Sports Development or work within a charity.
