Community Wellbeing explores how becoming active in your community can enhance your wellbeing, confidence, motivation and aspiration.
This course will help you to develop a clear plan to improve your wellbeing through community involvement. You will reflect on the effectiveness of your current community involvement, and develop an action plan to support your development and community participation.
This course will support you to develop further aspiration to engage with a voluntary role, further your education or gain employment.
How will the course be delivered?
The course will be delivered on a residential basis, over two days and one night.The course will include a blend of class room based activities and some individual work alone.
Northern College starts where you are, building on your life skills and experience. You don’t need a formal qualification to begin your studies with us.
What could this course lead to?
To continue your journey, you may wish to study other community development courses. With further qualifications, you could progress into Community Development, Sports Development or work within a charity. To improve your employability skills, you may also wish to look at the English, maths and digital skills qualification
