This new introductory course will support you to explore the terms entrepreneurship and enterprise, and learn how they work together to create opportunities to start your own business. Learn how to recognise innovative ideas and the type of businesses that could be created to support a range of ideas and innovations. Discover the initial starting place for developing an enterprise opportunity and where you can find support to be successful.
How will the course be delivered?
The course will be delivered over two days between 9.30am – 4.00pm using a blend of online learning with a tutor and independent study.
Northern College starts where you are, building on your life skills and experience. You don’t need a formal qualification to begin your studies with us.
What could this course lead to?
This course is beneficial for those who wish to progress on to further community development short courses. You could also consider courses to support the development of your English, Maths and Digital Skills.
Further progression includes Level 2 Certificate in Developing Enterprise Skills, Level 2 Certificate in Community Organising and Level 3 Access to Higher Education Diploma Social Action, or Humanities and Social Science.
