Course Description:

Are you looking to enhance your career prospects and develop professional IT skills?
This course will develop your skills, knowledge and understanding of some of the key Microsoft office applications, including:

  • Microsoft Word - create simple and complex text documents
  • Microsoft Excel - create spreadsheets and charts
  • Microsoft Access - to create databases
  • Microsoft Powerpoint - to create presentations

The course will also include a unit on improving productivity using IT which will require you to plan, implement and improve procedures using IT tools and systems. It is suitable for individuals looking to enhance their career prospects and develop advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications but you will need to be a confident IT user with knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Throughout the course you will need to complete a number of assignments including practical and written tasks to build a portfolio of evidence for assessment.

This course could lead on to further education or employment opportunities; for example, it could help in job roles such as data entry clerks, business administrators, team leaders, PA's or management roles.
